It is estimated that three out of every four crimes is drug related. The Narcotics Unit of the Knox County Sheriff's Office handles cases involving the sale or illegal distribution of illicit drugs, and focuses its enforcement efforts on criminals at every level of the process – from street level dealers to widespread suppliers. The staff in this Unit diligently seek to prosecute anyone who attempts to violate a law governing the sale or use of narcotics.
