For Immediate Release

Two people are charged in connection with two collisions early this morning on Lovell Road at Lexington Drive.  It happened at 2:48 a.m. when a Pontiac Grand Am driven by 27 year old Natasha Craft of Widner, Georgia ran a red light on Lexington as she made a left onto Lovell Road and crashed into a motorcycle.  Driving the motorcycle was 29 year old James Dockery of Tallassee and his passenger, 21 year old Carrie Leanord of Knoxville.  Both were thrown from the motorcycle.  Craft backed up her car and then drove through the crash scene.  She fled to the Truck Stops of America on Lovell Road where she was apprehended by KCSO officers in the parking lot.

Meantime, a witness to the crash, 40 year old Ronald Yeninas of Bloomburg, Pennsylvania went to the aid of Dockery.  He and Dockery were then run over by a Mazda sedan driven by 27 year old Charles Warren of Knoxville.  Yeninas, Dockery, and Leanord were all transported by Rural Metro to the University of Tennessee Medical Center.

Craft and Warren are charged in connection with the crashes.  Craft is being held on a $2,500 bond for driving under the influence, implied consent violation, leaving the scene with injury, failure to yield the right of way, and failure to provide information and render aid.

Warren is being held on a $1,000 bond for driving under the influence and violation of the open container law.  Other charges are pending against the two as the KCSO Traffic Reconstruction Unit continues its investigation.
